The GM Says...
Gamemastering 101
Some brief tips on Game Mastering -
The players should always feel that they are unique and special in some way, even if it is only in their continued survival.
Dungeon magazine suggests that for every object, person, or thread in your campaign, there be a secret attached to it. Since this is Con X, better make it two.
The Con X world should, for the cell, alternate between frightening lonliness and total agoraphobia. Things should be quiet to the point where the cell believes they are all that is left, and then, bam, there are so many people in on the facts that the cell is sure that all is lost, and then, poof, all is quiet...
The only part of the Con X Rules that needs overhauling is combat. It can be tedious and get bogged down if more than 4-6 people are involved. Don't be afraid to gloss over things and streamline the actions. We started using Feng Shui to move things along quicker - it actuall works really well.
